My friend is selling his Mini. I just like seeing an ad with a decent photo or two.

I actually kinda wish I could buy it. Don't tell anyone.

That's exactly how it should be. He went further than is absolutely necessary, but it certainly helps. One of my biggest pet peaves is a craigslist ad with awful pictures, or just not enough.

Precisely.

keep the filters on instagram. I'm not a fan of the tilt shift effect on a car you want to see details of. I like a bit of HDR, but all the filters are a bit excessive, for an ad where you are trying to see details of the car. Just my opinion.

Lol, the problem with these pics is that you need to PROFUSELY say that they are not stock-photography provided by Mini. Because they are way too good, lol.

The funny thing is I was looking at an ad earlier today, it only had two pictures, but one was the exterior frontal 3/4 view I believe it's called and the other was the interior. I found myself thinking: this is better than a whole lot of other craigslist ads with more foto's, because they are SO often lacking the interior and don't have any shots that actually have the whole car in the frame. The ad was for a Impala and would've been perfect if there were a rear 3/4 view. But still it was much closer than a lot of ads come to having good foto's and that only with 2 foto's. Just goes to show how little effort it takes to get the right foto's onto an ad.

True, but it might be worth mentioning that it isn't a filter or instagram effect.
*The tilt-shift, that is. Obviously he played with levels in Lightroom.

Yeah, it's true. Just walk around the car, take pictures at the corners. Poke the camera inside, take a picture. Turn camera around, take a picture. Boom, you get to sell your car.

great pictures. Kind of a random question, but what % tints on the car?

Yeah, it really is that simple. It helps to do this process in daylight w/o snow/mud/plants covering the car. :P
The ad I saw was full of win here too, he sat in the back seat and got the entire dash and even a little bit of the seats. You get a lot of info that way about the state of the carpet, the seats, the dash, the climate controls, etc.

It's nice to have an inch-thick layer of pine needles on the car, though. That's always good!
